It's officially pumpkin season! With fall right around the corner, pumpkin flavors can be found in all of your favorite coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries... the list goes on! Apart from adding flavor to your latte or slice of pie, pumpkins are an incredible natural beauty booster. 

  1. It's a nutrient powerhouse!  Adding pumpkin to your diet reaps a long list of benefits. Because of high doses of vitamin A, pumpkins help fight signs of aging, hydrate dry skin, and clear up acne. Additionally, pumpkins are packed with vitamins C and E and carotenoids, helping prevent wrinkles and skin cancer. Another slice of pie please!
  2. It can assist with weight loss!  One serving of pumpkin (about one cup) contains 3 grams of fiber and only 49 calories. This will fill you up without all the heavy calories. Pumpkins can also provide an incredible energy boost after a workout because of their high potassium content.
  3. It can revive your hair!  The vitamin A in pumpkins serves as a great antioxidant for your scalp, while vitamin C and potassium can help with hair growth. A pumpkin hair mask will also help moisturize dry hair. All you need is one cup of plain canned pumpkin, one cup of yogurt, four tablespoons of coconut oil, and two tablespoons of honey. Apply the mask from roots to tips and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse and say hello to hydration!
